Last Saturday night I had the pleasure of providing the music for a 40th birthday celebration in a barn on a working farm in the Yorkshire Dales.
It was one of those brilliant nights where the music moved across all sorts of styles, with an eclectic set that kept the dancefloor busy from start to finish. The setting was fantastic too: rustic beams, hay bales, lighting, haze and a proper party atmosphere.
Events like this are exactly why I enjoy what I do. Every room is different, every crowd has its own personality, and the best nights are shaped around the people in front of you.
